RadioLinx 802.11n – IHN-W: A new born in the family

A few months after the launch of its first industrial class IEEE 802.11n RadioLinx® modules, ProSoft Technology is enlarging its most recent family of industrial wireless solutions with a single-radio IP67 version.

Trustable Wireless solution, based on 802.11 standards

While the number of adopters of industrial wireless is fast increasing worldwide, some Automation Engineers are still sceptical regarding security. This is an important topic. And no one will consider these questionings illegitimate. This article will bring answers and hopefully help convince them that security should not be the reason for postponing the pace they will do towards wireless.

ProSoft Technology® enlarges its 802.11n range of solutions with two new dual-radio Industrial HotspotsTM

ProSoft Technology® has developed 2 new Automation-Class industrial 802.11n solutions. These are dual-radio Industrial HotspotsTM. One is water-tight (IP67). Both enlarge the option given to Automation Engineers for high-speed wireless networks. Dual-radio solutions will allow longer distances, better performances while repeaters are involved, and allow 2 channels to be used simultaneously (for example: one for the automation application, while the other one can be used for maintenance purpose, without impacting the application)...

802.11n: ProSoft Technology® launches new High-Speed Industrial Radios

The new RadioLinx® industrial radios support IEEE 802.11n and provide premier performance for high-capacity networks. They offer high-reliability networking to applications with moving devices and/or obstructed environments that are traditionally difficult to solve with wireless solutions. The offering consists of a single-radio Industrial HotspotTM, and a single-radio Industrial Client.

Industrial wireless radios offer a reliable solution for Tecnorulli warehouse automated handling system

Holding and moving heavy metal tubes is not an easy task for automation engineers. Holding and moving heavy metal tubes… in narrow rows of automated warehouses… at high speed… is even… worth! Tecnorulli decided to go wireless for such types of applications. The wireless option faced issues due to the environment itself (everything is made of metal in the warehouse) and more over, the moving parts, the carriages which are navigating through the aisles for depositing and/or taking material from the shelves and rows, are themselves made of metal. In short, the RF environment is some of the worth you can imagine for robust, safe, and reliable wireless applications. Nevertheless, Tecnorulli wanted to overcome the challenge and decided to go wireless , with one objective: improve quality and response time to better serve their customers. ProSoft Technology’s RadioLinx industrial radios were the key to resolving the communications difficulties Tecnorulli was facing in its automated warehouse.
